Adjusting to change, dealing with anger, and stress, can all be difficult to navigate. Whether it’s due to relationships, family, school, work, something that has just come up, or a “stuck” feeling you can’t seem to shake. Finding answers to life’s problems can leave you feeling overwhelmed, frustrated, and alone. I want you to know you don’t have to navigate through life’s challenges alone. I know therapy and sharing your life can be scary, and the stigma surrounding mental health can prevent individuals from seeking a therapist. That is why it’s important to find a therapist you can connect with.

Find a therapist you can connect with.

If you are looking for a therapist who will really listen and strive to understand you; someone who combines empathy with insight and interaction; someone who can help you make sense of issues you’re struggling with, and work toward resolving them, allow Healing Minds, Helping Hearts to help.

Healing Minds, Helping Hearts is currently a solo private practice that provides online therapy services via a HIPAA compliant platform; and is dedicated to servicing adolescents, young adults, and families.

Services

Individual Therapy $100 for a 45-60minute session.

Successful therapy involves a commitment to the therapeutic process, honesty, and trust between the therapist and client. Talking about things you may have never discussed with someone takes courage, and I’m honored you’re considering me to assist you in your process. My focus is to create a safe and supportive environment that encourages your personal growth.

Anger Management $30 per class

Anger is a normal emotion to feel, but it is important to express it in a healthy way. Classes will help individuals learn strategies in order to help recognize triggers and underlying issues leading to anger, manage their emotions and control aggressive behaviors, and different ways to cope with anger. It Is recommended individuals complete at least 6 classes for classes to be effective. Classes are done in groups. Please reach out for more information regarding class schedules.

Family Therapy $135 for a 45-60minute session

It is my goal to help families be healthy and happy. Some of the things you will have the opportunity to explore include, but not limited to; conflict resolution as a family, behavioral and interpersonal challenges, increasing communication between family members, adjusting with transitions or family changes, social and coping skill issues, stress management, self-care, and activities and tools to help strengthen your relationship and more.

Insurance

Healing Minds, Helping Hearts, LLC is considered an out of network provider, and a superbill can be provided for insurance reimbursement in lieu of accepting insurance. Some individuals choose to not involve their insurance provider in their treatment. A couple reasons are, they don’t want a diagnosis permanently attached to their health record, and they don’t want personal information being obtained by their insurance company. Please check with your plan directly to verify your coverage.

Emergencies

I understand emergencies do arise, however, I’m not able to provide emergency coverage for clients on an “on call” basis. As a solo practitioner, my practice does not support those who need after-hours care or crisis services. If you are in crisis, or an urgent mental health issue emerges please call the Georgia Crisis & Access line at 1-800-715-4225. If you are experiencing a life-threatening emergency, please call 911 or go to your local emergency room.

Payment

Payment is due at the time of the service. I accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express.

Cancellation

If you are unable to attend a session, please make sure you cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours in advance. I understand unforeseeable circumstances happen, and if that is the case please communicate with me as soon as possible. Please note, if you cancel less than 24 hours in advance or do not show up for your appointment, you will be charged for the full rate of the session.

Hi, I’m Tor!

I’ve always had a passion for empowering individuals and helping them overcome obstacles and difficulties. I have extensive experience working with children, adolescents, young adults, and families who are having difficulty navigating their personal and social lives.

Authenticity and integrity are two principles I pride myself on personally and professionally. My goal is to help individuals prioritize their mental health. My vision is to let people know there is a place where they can be heard, while being empowered and uplifted. My clients find that my warm and compassionate approach to therapy makes it easy to connect with me.

I work with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing. I do this by meeting individuals where they are, along with using a therapeutic process that focuses on individuals’ needs and goals, and evidence-based strategies. I take the collaborative approach with individuals. I am here to help aid and encourage individuals as they grow and navigate through life’s challenges.

I specialize in anxiety, depression, work and school related stress, and adjustment issues.

Some of the different therapeutic models I use with my clients include but are not limited to; solution-focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and mindfulness.
